ABOUT WRITERS’ CIRCLE

As a member of the Writers’ House, you’ll be invited to the IWH Writers' Circle and to meet twice a month with other writers to generate new work and receive feedback on existing projects. Though writing can be a solitary practice, perhaps one of the best assets a writer can have is other writers to meet and discuss work with. With the help of facilitator Linda Muller, Writers' Circle will be an open and collaborative environment for writers to connect and assist each other in developing their work on a regular basis.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Linda Muller is a writer, traveler, and lifelong Iowan, but foremost, she is a poet. She works full-time at the University of Iowa in the College of Business and makes time outside of work to write attending local and international writing workshops. As concierge and one of the co-hosts of the Iowa Writers’ workshops and the House Zen Write Nights and through her role as Iowa City Poetry Slam founder and slam-master, she has made her mark in the local writing scene. Her poetry can be found in Iowa Poetry Association’s Lyrical Iowa (2018 and 2019), the Writers’ Rooms 2019 anthology, and the University of Iowa Writing Center’s Spring 2018 Voices. As facilitator of the Writers’ Circle, Linda plans to leverage her own experience with that of the participants to remove any barriers to creativity.
